Local investigations - Toolkit

The following toolkit should be used in conjunction with our guidance How to conduct an investigation. Local authorities can download the documents below and amend them as appropriate to suit their own requirements. The documents are not prescriptive and the list is not exhaustive. They are based on the experience that Standards for England has had in investigations over the last six years.

If you decide to use these documents, we would recommend that they are personalised with your own authority's corporate identity. You will see that most of the documents contain spaces for you to include the relevant information.
