Guidance and Information Adviser

I started at Standards for England in 2007 as Executive Assistant to the Head of Legal. I came from a commercial administrative background and this was my first position within local government. It was a steep learning curve, but the extensive induction process ensured that I had a solid awareness of my new environment. I am now a Guidance and Information Adviser and am excited to see what changes will happen over the coming months.

During my time at Standards for England I have been supported, trained and developed and have undertaken role specific training such as audio transcription, minute taking and process mapping.

There are lots of positives about working here - communication is strong with an intranet which features blogs from the Chief Executive, employees are encouraged to become involved in cross departmental working and of course, the office is near some of the best shopping in Manchester!
