The Standards Board for England roadshows 2007
We ran 11 roadshow events at various locations across the country. Their purpose was to:
- share advice and experience on implementing the changes to the Code of Conduct, and how they will affect you and your authority
- allow us to listen first-hand to your feedback, concerns and queries
- update you on the forthcoming local filter for complaints, and how it will work in practice
- keep you informed of news from the Standards Board for England
- offer support from our legal and policy teams
We visited 11 locations across England, and were able to offer each authority the opportunity to send up to four attendees to an event. Locations were:
- Liverpool, 6 June 2007
- Leeds, 7 June 2007
- Newcastle, 12 June 2007
- Nottingham, 13 June 2007
- Birmingham, 14 June 2007
- Truro, 19 June 2007
- Exeter, 20 June 2007
- Winchester, 21 June 2007
- Swindon, 26 June 2007
- Norwich, 27 June 2007
- London, 28 June 2007
Booking forms were sent to all monitoring officers, who were asked to co-ordinate attendance from their authorities. There was no charge for attending a roadshow event, and places were allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
