Standards for England are sponsoring a workshop session at the Local Government Information Unit national conference - Councillor '10 on 4 February 2010.

The workshop is all about social networking and how to use it effectively and ethically.  The full description is below:

‘The internet and the phenomenon of social networking have fundamentally changed the way we work and communicate with each other. This interactive session provides practical examples of how councillors can use social networking effectively and ethically to engage with and deliver to local communities'.

Speakers are:

  • Anne Rehill, Advice and Guidance Manager, Standards for England
  • Ingrid Koehler, Improvement Strategist, IDeA
  • Cllr Mary Reid, Liberal Democrat Councillor, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames
