Press Toolkit – Guide for authorities

The Press Toolkit is a resource to help authorities’ press officers effectively handle media enquiries about complaints and investigations relating to authority members.

It is written specifically to help press officers - the people most likely to be responsible for answering media enquiries concerning matters in their authority.

The Press Toolkit has been distributed to each authority’s communications department. Additional copies can be requested from the Standards for England free of charge, but due to limited numbers we can only allow one per authority. To order an extra copy, please email publications@standardsforengland.gov.uk.
